Cloud Solution Architect

Summary

We’re looking for a Cloud Solution Architect to join our product development team to drive a cloud based data platform architecture that will power BI and advanced analytics at Gainwell Technologies. You will have a direct impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of BI and data science use cases. The ideal candidate will have industry-leading programming skills and established knowledge of implementing, designing, deploying, and maintaining big data analytics platforms in a cloud environment.

Your role in our mission

• Make informed decisions on the strategic direction and roadmap for the use and implementation of cloud platforms and DevOps methodologies.
• Create a well-informed, in-depth cloud strategy and manage its adaptation process.
• Monitor the company’s cloud privacy in collaboration with IT security.
• Respond to technical difficulties in a timely and competent manner.
• Assist with infrastructure migration strategies, such as mass application transfers to the cloud.
• Translating project-specific requirements into a cloud structure that meets those requirements, as well as considering the project’s resource use and scalability requirements.
• Designing the cloud environment from a comprehensive perspective, ensuring that it satisfies all the company’s needs.
• Performing activities such as deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management inside the cloud framework that has been created.
• Work closely with internal data teams and business intelligence partners to help design the next version of our infrastructure.
• Bringing new apps into the cloud environment to completion.
• Provide training and assistance to all employees whose jobs need them to interact with the cloud structure.
• Keeping track of how much cloud space is being used and ensuring that the system is running smoothly.
• Using virtualization technologies to accomplish effective server administration for the business.
   

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience  

• Total 9 -13 years of experience in supporting, executing, and designing IT cloud solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of current cloud computing technologies and trends
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with AWS Cloud technology preferred.

8+ years of relevant experience as a cloud architect with following key skills: 

• Terraform or simialr IaC language
• AWS resources including Networking/ECS/EC2/Network/IAM, CLI, & best practices
• Ansible
• CI/CD Development
• Git
• Markdown
• DOT Language / Mermaid Diagrams
• Python
• Infrastructure Diagraming / Flow Diagrams

AWS Solution Architect – Associate certification preferred
